Here is a vertical CD storage chest made of stained cherry.
Dimensions: height- 38 1/4" x width- 9 1/4" x depth- 11". It's five drawers, each hold about 23 CD's giving a total of about 115 CD's. The cabinet may be built in any depth from 12" to 18". The deeper the chest, the larger the storage capacity. Maximum capacity at an 18" depth would be 200CD's. It may be made out of most standard woods and is shippable by FedEx for a nominal charge.

With the back removed, this picture shows the structural details and the individually fitted drawers, each sliding in its own position. All drawers are made using hand cut dovetail joinery. For a nominal extra charge, the drawer bottoms may be made of solid aromatic red cedar to provide a nice fragrance and to keep away harmful insects.
$400 for a four-drawer unit, $450 for five drawers. This is for a 12" deep standard cabinet. For depths greater than 12" add $50 for each additional inch of depth. For example,a 4-drawer 14" deep chest would be $500, a 5-drawer 14" deep chest would be $550 etc. Shipping by FedEx is $25 - $35 to most U.S. locations.
